Streaks and points

Chrono Streak

One daily check-in. A brand-new visitor can start a streak immediately. Live streaks rank on the streak leaderboard (accounts only — anonymous cookies do not rank).

A live streak applies a multiplier to positive point earnings (contributions, games, quests, referrals). Penalties are never magnified. Break the streak, lose the multiplier. Landmark tiers are admin-set (example shape: 10 days → 110% … 90 days → 200%).

Points

Points live on an append-only ledger. They come from:

• Approved contributions (new Atlas card, Atlas edit, Timeline post)
• Arena games (small, participation-first, well below a full card reward)
• Quests
• Referrals

Leaderboards never blend streak and points into one score. Showing up and contributing are different sports. The points board can be windowed (24h → all-time); the streak board is always the live run.

Ranked identity

Leaderboard rows can show a claim tier or Citizen badge for Pro.
