A Topic can have several sectors. Filtering shows Topics that include the selected sector. The control is a single dropdown: Sector: All ▾.

If no sector fits, ChronoBlock stores Others. Empty or invented sectors are rejected.

Hot! is computed, never stored

Hot! is not a tag an editor puts on a Topic. It is a live ranking of what the community is actually touching, drawn from all other sectors.

For the current day it is roughly the top 5 posts (or Topics, in Topics-only mode), ranked by:

1. Most comments (effort)
2. Then most likes (tie-break)

A post must clear a minimum of comments or likes. If nothing clears the bar, Hot! is empty ("Nothing is hot yet"). An honest empty list beats a fake trending list.

Thresholds can change. Dislikes are ignored on purpose so a pile-on cannot bury a busy story.
