The Timeline feed is personalized in spirit: you pick sectors and follows rather than ChronoBlock inventing a mystery ranking of "For You."

Posts vs Topics

The toolbar toggles Posts and Topics.

• Posts — individual sourced items in the feed
• Topics — the stories those posts belong to

Search matches headlines, summaries, and Topic titles and jumps you to the post or Topic view.

Sentiment, not likes

Posts use sentiment (for example Support / Unsupport) instead of a like heart. The point is how the community feels about a development, not a vanity count. Dislikes do not bury a story in Hot! — Hot! asks what people are engaging with.

Comments

• Each Topic has a comment section
• Each post has its own comment section (not shared with sibling posts)
• Nested replies, YouTube/Reddit-style
• Visitors can comment; identity is your account or the anonymous cookie

Quality gates on new posts

Members who post to the Timeline go through quality checks (duplicates, grammar, source, media). Failing a check sends the post to the review queue rather than publishing junk.

Optional media

A post or Topic may have a hero image by URL (no file upload on the composer). No image means a text card. Videos must actually resolve.

Staff edits

Privileged contributors can edit a post or Topic in place (headline, summary, sources, sectors, move a post to another existing Topic). Following a Topic still works after a rename.
